Our LOCATION
Nestled in a natural refuge across from Monastery Beach and Point Lobos in Carmel, California, Sea Star Horse Sanctuary is surrounded by Monterey Pine, Monterey Cypress and Coast Live Oak trees amid maritime chaparral with an exquisite ocean view. In this place of elemental harmony, humans, horses, birds and wild animals converge and commune.
As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Sea Star Horse Sanctuary’s mission is to provide exceptional care and lifetime sanctuary to abused, abandoned and neglected horses and ponies. Through its programs, the sanctuary also offers members of the public the unique benefit of equine-assisted learning and fosters transformative relationships between humans and horses.
Sea Star Horse Sanctuary’s philosophy aligns with mine by nurturing the body,mind and soul of each being in its loving care. Likewise, it cultivates thewholeness of each being and aims to connect humans with horses in mindfulness.
